September 17, 2009: Welcome and Orientation
Location: Plymouth State University, Concord Campus
Learn about the origins and mission of the Series, listen to an expert on gender psychology, spruce up your personal biography and write an engaging news release.

October 15, 2009: Government and Politics: Where do you fit in?
Location:  Plymouth State University, Concord Campus
Understand the local, state, and national party structure; become acquainted with the unique features of NH state government; identify the range of opportunities to become involved in the GOP.

November 19, 2009: Issues, Analysis, Traditional and New Media
Location:  Plymouth State University, Concord Campus
Understand the major issues facing NH policymakers; learn what works best in traditional and new media.

January 21, 2010: Making your Meetings Marvelous
Location:  Plymouth State University, Concord Campus
Learn how to effectively run or participate in meetings; learn the basics of parliamentary procedure, become aware of the key provisions of NH’s Right-to-Know Law.

February 18, 2010: Media Training and Looking your Best
Location:  Plymouth State University, Concord Campus
Get tips on wardrobe and imago; media training to look and sound your best; practice making a speech.

March 18, 2010: Snow Day
Location:  Plymouth State University, Concord Campus
Please reserve this date in case a previous program is cancelled for weather.

April 15, 2010: Day at the State House, Concord
Location:  Upham Walker House and State Capitol, Concord
Familiarize yourself with the legislative process and get comfortable participating in it; understand the role of the Executive Council; visit our historic State House.

May 11-12, 2010: The Washington, D.C. Program
Location:  The District of Columbia
Meet members from other states’ Excellence in Public Service programs; get a view of Washington from insiders.

May 20, 2010: Campaign Toolbox
Location:  Plymouth State University, Concord Campus
Learn elements of a winning campaign and how to implement them in planning a campaign; listen to real life stories from the campaign trail; get tips on fundraising and financial reporting requirements for candidates and organizations.

June 2010: Class of 2010 Graduation Luncheon
Location, Date and Speaker to be announced.
