Gail GiarrussoGail Giarrusso

Gail Giarrusso is a New Hampshire grassroots political activist who became involved in the political arena during the 2004 Presidential campaign and has been enamored with politics ever since.
She was recently named a 2007 Fellow in the Vesta Roy Excellence in Public Service Series – a leadership training program for Republican women who have an interest in politics and public service but have not yet held public office.

Gail has served as Secretary for the Stratham Republican Town Committee since 2005 as well as and the newly formed Tri-Town Republican Committee which represents the towns of Exeter, North Hampton and Stratham.  She has been a member of the Seacoast Republican Women since 2004 and now serves as Membership Chair and Acting Publicity Chair.

During the 2004 presidential campaign, Gail volunteered hundreds of hours on the re-election campaign for President George W. Bush. She became a member of the Seacoast Republican Women that same year.  She also worked as the campaign manager for Corinne Armstrong, a candidate for state representative in 2006.  After the 2006 campaign season was over, she joined the board of the Seacoast Republican Women as their Membership Chair.  In January 2007 she took on the added responsibility as Acting Publicity Chair.  She also co-chaired the “Caring for America” Committee in 2006-2007 and was instrumental in the Seacoast Republican Women’s national recognition for their efforts in supporting our men and women in the military.  The Seacoast Republican Women were awarded first place for their” Caring for America” project at the National Republican Women’s Conference held in September of 2007.  She is also a voting member of the New Hampshire Republican State Committee.

She attended the University of Massachusetts in Lowell, MA and the College for Lifelong Learning in Portsmouth, NH with studies focusing on Accounting, Psychology and Early Childhood Education.  Prior to dedicating her time as a full-time wife and mother, Gail held positions as a Bridal Store Manager and Customer Service and Collections Specialist for a major car manufacturer’s finance company.

Gail has been married to her husband, Gary, for twenty-four years, and is mother to two sons ages thirteen and six.  She is an active volunteer at the Stratham Memorial School as well as her local church.  She is also the proud aunt of a soldier and is dedicated to all military personnel in their efforts fighting the War on Terror.  Her involvement includes being an active member of the Pease Greeters, Families United for Our Troops and Their Mission and an associate member of the Blue Star Mothers of NH.
