Jeanine Notter
Jeanine
Notter is the host of her own cable television talk show, “Chattin’
with Jeanine.” From local interest stories to health and fitness,
history, religion, and politics, viewers enjoy the program for the wide
variety of topics. The show will reach its one-year anniversary
on Channel 22, Merrimack TV, this October.
Seven years ago Jeanine began teaching aqua aerobics. She’s a
certified Fitness Professional and continues to teach exercise classes
today, including weight training, and yoga.
The Gold Star Mother’s Memorial Association selected Jeanine, herself a
“blue star mother,” to be their spokesperson to help them raise the
necessary funds to erect a statue in Manchester to honor all mothers
who have lost a child while in the service of our country’s armed
forces. She is also a friend to our Veterans.
One issue that has always been near and dear to her heart is the plight
of the American Prisoners of War left behind in Vietnam, and the
Missing in Action. She is a contributor to the website www.lastpow.com
Jeanine wrote several articles in the late 80’s and early 90’s on the
subject of POWs/MIAs. She has had other articles in publications around
the country, including The Press Enterprise newspaper (California), The
Wanderer Press (Catholic national newspaper), and The New American
Magazine. She still free-lances for the latter.
Jeanine is a columnist for Catholic.net. Her articles are on
health and fitness and how it relates to the Bible and Faith.
This is quite an effort, but Jeanine is no stranger to
challenges. In 2002 she tired to stop a church closing and even
took the first steps in suing the Bishop of Manchester in the Vatican
Courts.
Jeanine started college at the University of California in Riverside,
CA, but soon put her education on hold to marry her high school
sweetheart. They’ve been married for 22 years now and have six
children. The Notters relocated to NH in 1998.
The word “bored” is not in Jeanine’s vocabulary. She has several
hobbies but her passion is endurance running. She just completed her
fourth marathon, in Manchester, on Nov. 4, 2007.
