Kathryn Pyle
Kate Pyle believes in politics and public service. Currently, she
works in U.S. Senator John E. Sununu’s Portsmouth office as one of his
Community/Constituent Liaisons.
She began her tenure with Sununu in 2003 when she was appointed
Correspondence Manager in the Senator’s Washington office. Prior to
working in the Senate, Kate served as a staff member on the Energy
Subcommittee of the House Committee on Science, and was employed by
Cassidy and Associates as well as the National Cotton Council.
She began college at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before
transferring to the University of New Hampshire at Durham where she
graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and was a
member of the Student Senate, serving as a liaison to the Greek
Community and the Town of Durham Police Department.
Mrs. Pyle continued her education at the Catholic University of America
receiving a master’s degree in Congressional Studies. She is
presently working on her Doctorate in American Government with a minor
concentration in Political Theory, also from Catholic University.
Mrs. Pyle served as a member of the faculty of the Lutheran College
Washington Semester where she taught Public Policy Issues for five
semesters. She is also a fellow in the Vesta Roy Excellence in
Public Service program for 2007-2008.
A New Hampshire native, Mrs. Pyle spent seven years living outside of
Washington, DC. She returned to New Hampshire in 2006 and
currently resides in Rochester with her husband Jason, their daughter
Elizabeth, and their dogs Moe and Molly. She is a member of the
Strafford County Republican Women.
