Kerry Marsh

Kerry is a New Hampshire native, who grew up in Meriden and
graduated from Lebanon High School. In 2003, Kerry graduated Summa Cum Laude
from Keene State College with a BA in Economics and minors in Political Science
and History. While at Keene State, Kerry was the President of the Economics
Honor Society, Omicron Delta Epsilon and a member of the History Honor Society.
She also played for the Varsity softball team and was active in establishing the
Keene State College Republicans.
Kerry’s political experience began as a volunteer for the McCain for President
Campaign in 2000 and volunteer for now Senate President Tom Eaton’s first
campaign. In 2001, she was appointed Young Republican Vice-Chair to the Cheshire
County Committee and became a member of the NH Young Republicans Executive
Board.
Kerry’s first professional political experience was as the Deputy Field Director
for the Keough for Governor campaign in 2002. After the primary in 2002 her
active involvement included volunteering for Sununu for US Senate, Eaton for
State Senate, and Odell for State Senate. It earned her the NH Young
Republican’s 2003 Gipper Award for the outstanding Young Republican of the year.
In January of 2003, Kerry became the youngest County Committee chairman in the
history of New Hampshire when she was elected to lead the Cheshire County
Republican Committee at the age of 21.
After graduating from Keene State College, Kerry joined the NH House of
Representatives’ Majority Office staff working as a Legislative Assistant to
Speaker Gene G. Chandler. While there, she helped coordinate whip activities,
authored weekly position papers, monitored House committees and key pieces of
legislation, and organized candidate support for 368 candidates for NH House. In
the 2004 elections she authored campaign plans, designed and coordinated
campaign mail, organized events, and helped conduct candidate training seminars
across the state.
Kerry is currently the Finance Chair for the Vesta Roy Excellence in Public
Service Series and has been a Board member for the program since its inception
in 2003. She works for HK Powersports in Hooksett, NH . Her interests include,
besides politics, skiing, water skiing, and other outdoor sports.
